I noticed this pretty female bluebird land on my bluebird house this morning and then flew and landed on these wires. I looked out again and the male was perched on my car's antenna.
A small sign of spring for me...YEA!!!

Hi Eileen, Bluebirds are such nice little birds! Great picture! I think it is nice you have a Bluebird house. Have an excellent day today!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, what a cute little guy. I sure hope this is a sign of spring for you. Thanks for your comments on my blog. We are surrounded by birdlife here in the Valley and it's fun and challenging to id them. Have a great day. Greetings from Jo
ReplyDeleteThat is a Bluebird is it, crumbs, it is special. Thanks Eileen.
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, What a cute little Bluebird... I know you were excited.... Our critters seem to think it's spring here also. The Robins have been out in force, and our silly little chipmunks popped out of the ground from their winter's nap--thinking that spring had come...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
No songs of spring here. The worms and bugs are all, 'freeze-dried' right now :)
ReplyDeletePretty Bluebird.
Ruth
A Beauty for sure! I am hoping Spring is right around the corner!!
ReplyDeleteGood to see a sign of spring from your part of the world Eileen.
ReplyDeleteI drove past a massive array of Snowdrops today in full bloom ... just need the temperature to get above freezing!!
I badly needed a sign of spring! I do not think I've ever seen a female bluebird, my 1st thought was a nuthatch with its plumage?
ReplyDeletethats is so cute! makes me want to own one!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Yes hopefully the spring will come soon :)

the poor, cute little girl doesn't get to be blue!
ReplyDeleteHi, All
ReplyDeletethe Pretty MALE bluebird was also seen today checking himself out in my cars side mirror. I wonder why the female was busy checking out the birdhouse and the male was busy looking at himself. Is there something wrong in this relaionship?
Beautiful shot from a very talented artist!
ReplyDeletethanks
Mitch
I saw one of these in the bog last week but didn't have my camera with me! As for spring, I think it will be a long time coming up here! I like your optimism though!
ReplyDeleteA refreshing sign I'm certain when the top photograph portrays such stubborn snow clinging to heavily laden branches weary with winter.
ReplyDeleteEileen, your bluebird is so sweet! Bet it can't wait for spring, too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so ready for spring. So ready.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific WW. :)
Yeah, I want spring to come soon...its a wild winter back East.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet bird! Let's hope spring doesn't take too long.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful sign of spring.

ReplyDeleteCats of Wildcat Woods
Ooh, I hope! I keep hearing tantalizing rumors that the wildflowers are finally blooming here but between a week of rain and now a sick kid I've been trapped inside for what feels like forever!

ReplyDeleteThere couldn't possibly be a more perfect sign of Spring! Beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteEileen what a great photograph! Sometimes there are bluebirds that stick around this part of Central Ontario, but I haven't seen any this year... so you've brought me a taste of spring - something I won't see for at least two months. I'll be back to look at this wee bird again and again, a promise of spring. Thanks so much!
